At The Rainbow Stores we know representation isn’t one-size-fits-all. That’s why we design awesome Pride shorts for 17 different identities within our community. This includes Trans, Lesbian, Bi, Non-binary, and Gay Men’s shorts with rainbow or pride-themed designs, along with intersectional identities such as Trans Lesbian and Aroace. We are committed to finding eco fabrics and processes in the manufacture of our products. Our Athletic Long Pride Shorts and Legging Pride Shorts are made of recycled polyester, which cuts down massively on waste that would otherwise have gone to refuse dumps. The recycled content is certified under Global Recycled Standard (GRS). Recycled polyester is a synthetic fabric produced by melting down existing plastic waste - primarily PET bottles and industrial waste - and re-spinning it into new fibers.

Yes we do. As an independent, trans and queer-owned store, The Rainbow Stores creates a range of apparel for more than 16 different identities, including t-shirt, hoodies, sweatshirts, muscle shirts, sports bras, dresses, shorts, underwear, swimwear, jackets pants/trousers, hats and shoes. Do You Offer Eco-friendly or Sustainable Pride Shorts?

Yes, The Rainbow Stores sells two types of eco-friendly sustainable Pride Shorts to buy online. The first is our Athletic Long Pride Shorts, which are made of 91% recycled polyester and 9% spandex. The recycled content of this product is certified under Global Recycled Standard (GRS). Our Legging Shorts are also made of recycled polyester, in this case 75%, and 25% elastane.

Recycled polyester is a synthetic fabric produced by melting down existing plastic waste—primarily PET bottles and industrial waste—and re-spinning it into new fibers. It offers the same durability, moisture-wicking, and strength as virgin polyester but is more sustainable, using significantly less energy and fewer resources.

How Can I Care For My LGBTQ+ Shorts to Maintain Their Quality?

To keep your LGBTQ+ shorts looking their best, wash it at 30°C or below with similar colours. Turn them inside out to protect the design, especially when ironing. Never iron directly on prints. Use mild detergent, avoid bleach and skip the tumble dryer where possible. If you do tumble dry, use a low setting or air dry your shorts flat.

Do You Offer Rainbow Shorts For Women

We try to offer products that are not gendered, as we know that our community includes a spectrum of genders and body shapes, many of whom identify as a gender different to the one they were assigned, and it’s important to us that no one feels excluded. Some of the products we sell will have been designed to fit a body shape that is either cis binary female or male, and in those cases we specify that these are cut for female or male body shapes, without excluding any trans or non binary people. Our Athletic Long Pride Shorts are unisex, our Legging shorts are cut for a female body shape and our fleece shorts are cut for a male body shape.

We ship globally, thanks to our local production hubs. This means your order is made and shipped near you, reducing environmental impact and speeding up delivery. Standard shipping times may vary depending on location. We do our best to avoid delays, but regional holidays or customs checks may occasionally extend delivery windows.
