The Rainbow Stores was founded by queer and trans people who wanted clothing that helped us express our identities, feel great and choose how visible we wanted to be. We design our own products because representation matters, and because LGBTQ+ people deserve more than generic rainbow merchandise that treats our community as one big, interchangeable group.

We're an independent LGBTQ+ shop, not a mainstream brand adding a Pride range for a few weeks each year. Our designs come from within the community and reflect the different ways we experience identity, visibility, solidarity and pride.

From Subtle Pride to Bold Statements

Sometimes you want your T-shirt to say everything without you having to explain a thing. Other times, you want to make a statement, celebrate at Pride or stand up for LGBTQ+ rights.

Our range spans different visibility levels, from understated designs and community references to colourful flags, outspoken messages and protest-inspired artwork. There's no single right way to express your identity. We want you to have options that feel right for you, whether you're heading to a Pride festival, going about your everyday life, meeting friends or making your voice heard.

FAQs about Our LGBTQ T-Shirts

Are your Pride t-shirts in inclusive sizes?

Yes, our t-shirts go from XS all the way up to 5XL, ensuring everyone finds the right fit. Our gender-neutral cuts are designed to flatter a broad range of body shapes. We encourage you to look at our size guide, which includes detailed measurements for chest, waist and length.

Are your rainbow t-shirts sustainable?

We aim to make more thoughtful choices about the clothing we offer. Our T-shirts are printed on demand, helping to reduce overproduction and avoid making stock that may never be sold. Most of our T-shirts use Bella+Canvas 3001 blanks. Bella+Canvas describes its manufacturing practices, including wastewater treatment, textile-waste recycling and the use of bluesign-approved dyes, chemicals and softeners. You can read more about these practices on the Bella+Canvas website. We work with production and fulfilment partners in different countries, so materials and manufacturing processes vary by product. We share the relevant fabric and product information on individual product pages so you can make an informed choice.

Are Pride T-Shirts suitable for everyday wear?

Yes of course, although you may not want to wear a big flag tee every day. We were founded for exactly this purpose: To create t-shirts and clothing that you can wear wherever you go, every day. So we have a range of visibility from Out and Proud, to Subtle, to If You Know You Know, offering a quick way to find something that works for you.

Do you offer Lesbian, Bi, Trans and Rainbow Pride T-Shirts?

We currently feature designs for more than 15 identities, including LGBTQ+, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex, asexual, aromantic, agender, non-binary, genderqueer, gender fluid, pansexual, and polysexual. We also have intersectional identity items for aroace and trans lesbian people. We’re actively growing our collection based on feedback, such as adding abrosexual to create space for underrepresented voices. If you feel there’s any identities we’re not including currently, we’d love to hear from you.

What fabrics and materials do you use?

Around 85–90% of our t-shirt range uses the Bella+Canvas 3001, made from Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton. The solid colours are 100% cotton, while heather colours use cotton-polyester blends. Exact compositions can vary by colour, so check the individual product page for details. Bella+Canvas also describes its manufacturing practices, including bluesign-approved dyes and chemicals, wastewater treatment and textile-waste recycling. You can learn more about its approach to responsible manufacturing on the Bella+Canvas website. We use different blanks and materials for some designs, so each product page provides the most accurate information about the individual T-shirt.

How can I care for my LGBTQ+ t shirt to maintain its quality?

To keep your t-shirt looking its best, wash it at 30°C or below with similar colours. Turn it inside out to protect the design, especially when ironing. Never iron directly on prints. Use mild detergent, avoid bleach and skip the tumble dryer where possible. If you do tumble dry, use a low setting or air dry your t-shirt flat.

Do you ship to the US, and internationally?

Yes. We’re a UK-based LGBTQ+ store and ship to the US, Canada, Mexico, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and India.

We work with production and fulfilment partners around the world, including facilities in the UK, US, Mexico, Canada, Latvia, Spain, Australia and Japan. This means we can produce and ship many items locally, helping to reduce delivery times and unnecessary air miles.

Some items may not be available at your nearest facility, but you’ll still pay the local delivery rate even if your order needs to be shipped internationally. Delivery times can vary depending on where your item is produced, and you’ll see the estimated delivery time at checkout.
